The teaser for the Telugu-Hindi bilingual Jatadhara was unveiled on Friday. It presents a stylised, largely wordless glimpse that shows Sudheer Babu and Sonakshi Sinha in moral opposition. As per the teaser, Sudheer’s character embodies sacrifice, while Sonakshi, as the demonic goddess Dhanapisachini, represents greed. The sequence culminates with the appearance of Lord Shiva, weaving a spiritual thread into the film’s narrative.

Cinematography, sound design and high-end visual effects combine to create a mythic mood in Jatadhara’s teaser. Sudheer Babu appears to have undergone a notable transformation for the role, his presence is intense and physical, while Sinha conveys a chilling, otherworldly presence through costume and demeanour.

Directed by Venkat Kalyan and Abhishek Jaiswal, and produced by Umesh KR Bansal, Prerna Arora, Shivin Narang and Nikhil Nanda, Jatadhara is shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, aimed at a pan-India audience. Prabhas unveiled the teaser on his social media.

Jatadhara is billed as a supernatural and mythological film. Reports suggest it engages with the lore of the Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple, exploring its myths and mysterious powers. The film was announced in August 2024, with the first look poster highlighting the motif of mortal versus mythical.

Filming began in February 2025. Sonakshi Sinha, making her Telugu debut, completed her portions by May. The makers have yet to confirm a release date. Meanwhile Sudheer Babu was last seen in Maa Nanna Superhero and Harom Hara, both of which got negative reception.
