Mrunal Thakur, who won the IIFA Utsavam award for Hi Nanna recently, last appeared in a major role in The Family Star, sharing screen with Vijay Deverakonda

Mrunal Thakur recently bagged the Best Actress award at the IIFA Utsavam awards for her performance in Hi Nanna. The actress, who shared screen with Nani in the relationship drama that released in December last year, spoke about what makes this victory special.

The actress, who played the role of Yashna in the film, said, “It was a truly fulfilling experience that allowed me to explore the depths of love and emotion. I am deeply grateful for this recognition.” The actress dedicated her award to the Hi Nanna team, adding, “I owe this achievement to my incredible director, talented co-stars, and the entire team whose unwavering support made this possible. This award reflects our collective hard work and dedication to storytelling.” 

Mrunal also shared that her award for Hi Nanna is a special win, considering she was given the honour alongside actresses like Rani Mukerji and Aishwarya Rani, who won the award in the Hindi and Tamil language categories, respectively.

Mrunal Thakur’s last major Telugu release was The Family Star, where she shared screen with Vijay Deverakonda.
