The Vishwak Sen starrer Gangs of Godavari is slated to have a theatrical release tomorrow, on May 31. The official trailer of the film, which was released a few days ago, piqued the curiosity of many filmgoers for its use of cuss words, leading to speculations about Gangs of Godavari not being a suitable watch for a family audience. Ahead of the film’s release, Vishwak Sen addressed these speculations.

Addressing the media on Thursday, the Gaami actor stated, “Up until a few days ago, even I had the impression that Gangs of Godavari was primarily targeted at a youth audience. However, I watched the film last night, and I can confirm that the film has zero vulgarity, and people can bring their entire family with kids to watch this film. It’s a family film.” The actor also confirmed that the use of cuss words included in the trailer is the only instance of profanity in the entire film, adding that some of that too is muted in the final cut for domestic release.

Directed by Krishna Chaitanya, Gangs of Godavari also stars Neha Sshetty and Anjali in prominent roles.
