Balakrishna’s Legend to rerelease in theatres

Legend, the popular 2014 movie starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, completes 10 years of its release this week. To celebrate the occasion, the makers of Legend have planned to rerelease the film in theatres on March 30.

Legend revolves around a lecturer named Srimannarayana (Balakrishna) who cannot tolerate injustice and has his own defiant method of dealing with lawbreakers. Besides Balakrishna, the film stars Sonal Chauhan, Radhika Apte, and Jagapathi Babu in prominent roles. Devi Sri Prasad composed music for the film, which originally released in theatres on March 28, 2014.

The makers of Legend also shared a special re-release trailer on the occasion. It was jointly produced by Ram Achanta, Gopichand Achanta, and Anil Sunkara under the banners of 14 Reel Entertainment and Varahi Chalani Chitram. Taking to his social media page, producer Anil Sunkara wrote, “Still remember the crowds' reactions in Bramarambha theatre in the first show of Legend. Hard to believe it’s already 10 years. The movie everyone will be proud of is re-releasing again on March 30th (sic).”

Legend was written and directed by eminent filmmaker Boyapati Srinu. After Legend, Balakrishna and Srinu collaborated on the 2021 film Akhanda.
