Mythri Movie Makers, the producers of Pushpa 2, have come out in support of the family of the victims of the Sandhya Theatre incident. On Monday, Rs 50 lakh was announced for the family. The producer duo of Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar visited the hospital and handed over the cheque to Revathi's husband in the presence of Telangana cinematography minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy.

Naveen Yerneni said, “It's a very unfortunate incident. From the day it happened, we have been deeply upset. The death of Revathi gaaru is a big loss for the family. The doctors are doing their best for the recovery of Sri Tej. We support the family. We regret the loss. This is just a small gesture.”

During the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule on December 4 at Sandhya theatre, a massive crowd overwhelmed the place resulting in the tragic death of Revathi and her son, Sri Tej, admitted to the hospital in critical condition. The incident turned into a political issue with the Telangana chief minister addressing it in the Assembly and condemning the actor, Allu Arjun. Police claim that the arrival of Allu Arjun resulted in the stampede.

Allu Arjun is currently released on interim bail from the High Court. The Telangana police recently released a video asking the public to make a judgement on their own. Allu Arjun’s house was attacked by assailants belonging to OUJAC. They were arrested and released on bail. The cinematography minister had demanded that Allu Arjun and makers of the film donate 20 crores to the victim’s family.
