The new release date of Akhil Akkineni and Pooja Hegde's upcoming romantic entertainer, Most Eligible Bachelor is here. Pooja took to her Twitter handle to announce that the film will hit screens on October 8.

"And we have a new release date! Birthday month just got sweeter! OCTOBER 8th! See you in the THEATRES. Bringing out lots of love, laughter & entertainment to you all! #mosteligiblebachelor," wrote Pooja.

The romantic comedy is directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar. Most Eligible Bachelor stars Pooja Hegde as a stand-up comedian and Akhil as an NRI who returns to India to find his soulmate.

The film was initially scheduled to hit screens on April 2, 2020, but was later pushed to January 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The makers then decided to release the film on June 19 earlier this year, but the second wave of the pandemic led to another reschedule.

Produced by Bunny Vaas, Most Eligible Bachelor also features Aamani, Murali Sharma, Jaya Prakash and Pragathi in supporting roles, and has music by Mani Sharma.
