GV Prakash Kumar’s next as an actor, Ninja, which underwent a change in its lead actor shortly before production began, has now completed its first schedule. The announcement was made on Monday, on the occasion of Ganesh Chathurthi.

The film, directed by Murugu, was initially announced with Bhaarath in the lead and GV Prakash as the composer. GV Prakash subsequently took over the protagonist’s role, with Sean Roldan coming on board as the composer. Prathana Nathan, who was announced as the female lead earlier, continues to be part of the project.

The film went on floors in August with a pooja ceremony. The film is backed by Soldiers Factory and Learn and Teach Productions, with KS Sinish and S Sai Devanand producing and S Sai Venkateshwaran serving as co-producer.

Ninja also marks a reunion between GV Prakash and Prathana, who had earlier shared screen space in Happy Raj, where she appeared in a small role as his character’s former lover. Prathana has since featured in films including Love Today, Parking and Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil.

Details about the plot and genre remain under wraps. However, the first-look material released so far has prominently featured a dog, hinting at its possible significance to the story. Jenson Diwakar, Radha Ravi, Dheepa Ramanujam, Kalyani Natarajan and Devadarshini are also part of the cast.

The technical crew comprises Harish Kannan as cinematographer, Ganesh Siva as editor and A Gopi Anand as art director. With the first schedule now complete, further details about the film are expected to emerge as production progresses.
