Director Jason Sanjay, son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay, has issued a clarification regarding his social media presence, stating that he has not authorised, launched or recognised any official fan club, association or community group in his name.

In a statement shared on his social media accounts, Jason listed his authorised profiles on Instagram, Facebook and X, adding that any other accounts or pages operating under his name or likeness are fake. He also distanced himself from any posts, comments, direct messages or business solicitations originating from profiles that are not on the list.

“Please be informed that we have not authorised, launched or recognised any official fan club, association or community group. Any groups, pages or accounts claiming to be our ‘official fan club’ or ‘authorised community’ are completely unofficial and unapproved,” he said in the statement.

The director further clarified that he would not be responsible for the content or actions of accounts that are not managed or authorised by him. The listed profiles include the Instagram handle @jason.sanjay_official, a Facebook page under the name Jason Sanjay and the X account @official_jsj.

Jason made his directorial debut with Sigma, an action-adventure heist film starring Sundeep Kishan and Faria Abdullah. The film released in theatres on October 2. The film follows a youngster named Guru (Sundeep Kishan) whose path crosses with a drug racket even as he faces much debt and tries to preserve his familial property. His life situation forces Guru to come up with a heist plan with his friends, with an eye on reclaiming what he and his family have lost, and this leads to chaos and confrontations. Besides Sundeep Kishan, Sigma stars Sampath Raj, Raju Sundaram, Yog Japee, and Shiv Panditt.
