Director-turned-actor Abishan Jeevinth has been having a successful year with the releases of his filmmaking debut Tourist Family in 2025, that went on to become one of profitable films of 2025, and his recent acting debut With Love that earned positive reviews from fans and critics. While he has been steadily growing with his projects and is meticulously planning his upcoming ventures, Abishan recently recalled writing a script for Vijay that did not materialise.

At a recent event, Abishan said, "I had previously written a story for Vijay sir. Unfortunately, at that time, he entered politics. I had written an action genre story for him. We had also included many references about him in the film Tourist Family. After all, who doesn’t like Thalapathy!"

Up next, Abishan is teaming up with Shivarajkumar for a new project, where the duo will be seen as father and son. Gowtham Sivaraman, who earlier worked as co-director with Abishan on Tourist Family, will make his directorial debut with the upcoming film.

At a recent event, the actor-filmmaker said that his next directorial venture will be a commercial family entertainer with a big production scale. While he has not revealed details regarding the film, Abishan noted that he will not star in the film.

Following the success of With Love, Abishan confirmed that he will team up once again with producers Soundarya Rajinikanth and Magesh Raj for a big-budget film. There are also speculations that the filmmaker has narrated a film for Vijay Devarakonda with the actor expressing his interest in acting in it. However, an official word is awaited from the makers about the same.
