It is well known that Ajith Kumar is all set to be seen in the upcoming film AK64, directed by Adhik Ravichandran. While the film was set to go on floors in February, there seems to have been a delay. Even as announcements regarding the film are yet to be made, speculations have been circulating on social media about the Mark Antony director being replaced by Ajith's long-time collaborator Siva.
Quashing these rumours, Ajith's manager Suresh Chandra has now confirmed to Cinema Express that the news is fake and Adhik remains the director of AK64.
Previously, speaking at an event, Adhik said, "Good Bad Ugly was made purely for the fans of Ajith sir. But AK64 won't be like that. It will be an action entertainer with a solid screenplay that will also pull in the family audience."
Ajith was last seen in Adhik Ravichandran's Good Bad Ugly which was released earlier last year. The film also starred Trisha, Arjun Das, Sunil, Prabhu, Prasanna, Karthikeya Dev, Priya Prakash Varrier, Jackie Shroff, Shine Tom Chacko, Tinnu Anand, BS Avinash and Raghu Ram.
Meanwhile, the actor's racing endeavours are set to be made into a feature-length film, directed by Vijay. Reportedly, the makers are thinking of releasing it theatrically, on May 1, coinciding with Ajith's birthday.
