After being stuck in the UAE amidst the ongoing Iran-US-Israel conflict, actor and racer Ajith Kumar made a safe return to Chennai on Wednesday. Videos featuring the actor inside the Chennai airport and taking a cab at the entrance is now being shared virally on social media.

Ajith Kumar was reportedly stuck in Dubai earlier this month as a result of travel disruptions in the UAE following the abrupt escalation of the Israel-US-Iran confrontation. In preparation for his upcoming car race, the actor was in Abu Dhabi for intense training. Due to regional tensions, flights out of Dubai were reportedly suspended, making it impossible for him to return to Chennai. His manager at the time attested to his safety and well-being.

On the film front, Ajith Kumar is set to work once again with Adhik Ravichandran on AK64 after Good Bad Ugly. The makers are yet to announce when the film will go on floors.

As reported earlier, director AL Vijay is making a documentary about Ajith's motorsports endeavours. Said to be a feature-length film, it is reportedly being planned to be released on May 1, on the occasion of the actor's birthday.

According to reports, the makers want to inspire youngsters and lure them into the world of motorsports with the film, a bit like how the Kapil Dev-led India's 1983 World Cup win drew millions in the country into cricket.

The project is set to bring Ajith and Vijay back together after their collaboration on 2007's Kireedam, a remake of the 1989 Malayalam film of the same name that starred Mohanlal.
