Legend Saravanan's sophomore venture as a lead actor, Leader, has been announced to release on April 9. The action drama is directed by RS Durai Senthilkumar, who is known for films like Ethir Neechal (2013) and Kodi (2016).

Durai Senthilkumar has also written the film, with GV Kumar credited for contributing to the story. The film has also been rated by the CBFC with a U/A rating. Apart from starring, Saravanan has also produced the film under his Saravana Stores Productions banner.

The cast for the film includes Sham, Andrea, Santhosh Prathap, Payal Rajput, Lal, Prabaharan, Amirtha Aiyer, VTV Ganesh, Iyal, Aishwarya, Mariam George, Nisha, “Adithya” Kathir.

Ghibran is composing music for the film, with lyrics written by Kabilan, Viveka, Mohan Rajan. The crew of Leader also includes director of photography Venkatesh S, editor Pradeep E Ragav, art director G Durairaj, and stunt co-ordinator Mahesh Mathew.

While the details of the plot haven't been revealed, the teaser hinted at the story revolving around a father who has to rescue his daughter from life threatening danger.
