Earlier this Tuesday, the makers of the Keerthy Suresh-Mysskin starrer Sathyavan Savithiri dropped a promo for its first single, titled 'Rippipee'. The energetic number is sung by Dhivagaran Santhosh Kumar with lyrics by Mohan Rajan and composition by Sam CS. "This promo offers a glimpse into a fun-filled musical experience packed with energy, style, and catchy tunes," wrote the makers while sharing the video. The full song is set to release at 5:00 pm on Wednesday.
A legal drama, Sathyavan Savithiri is written and directed by Praveen S Vijaay. Keerthy and Mysskin star as lawyers in this film. Its story follows an energetic lawyer (Keerthy) who signs up for a major case while dealing with her own emotional turmoil—a decision which turns her life upside down. Director Praveen has revealed that the legal drama resembles the 1984 film Vidhi, in which characters seek justice even as they attempt to overcome personal issues.
According to an IANS report, Sathyavan Savithiri's cast also includes Bala Saravanan, Heart Beat fame Charukesh, Shilpa Manjunath, Madhusudhanan, Brigida, R Sundararajan, Mala Parvathi, and A Venkatesh, among others. The film is bankrolled by Vedikkaranpatti S Sakthivel of Drumsticks Productions, with Vaishnavi Vivekchandar and Vinoth CJ serving as co-producers. It has cinematography by Arul Vincent, editing by GK Prasanna, art direction by AM Anandharaj, and production design by Prem Karunthamalai. Besides being the director, Praveen S Vijaay also serves as one of the lyricists for the film, with the others being Mohan Raja and Uma Devi.
Sathyavan Savithiri is slated for a July 24 release in theatres worldwide. Keerthy Suresh's next films also include Thottam, Kannivedi, Raftaar, and Rowdy Janardhana. The actor has a series known as Akka as well. Meanwhile, Mysskin's upcoming films include I'm Game, co-starring Dulquer Salmaan and directed by RDX fame Nahas Hidayath. His next directorial outings include Train, starring Vijay Sethupathi, Narain, and Shruti Haasan, among others, and Pisasu 2—both of which face delays in their releases.
