Director Mysskin was among the many noted filmmakers who were present at the pre-release event of Vijay Antony and Swasika's upcoming film Nooru Saami. Praising director Sasi and the Lubber Pandhu-fame actor, Mysskin said, "Sasi has chiseled Swasika's character so well. It has been portrayed beautifully. I can only thank you. I can fall on your feet. While it might seem too much, but it is okay. We tend to praise men falling on other men's feet. We should instead be falling on your (women's) feet. That should be an example."

Following his speech, the director came down from the stage and fell on Swasika's feet. While she quickly stopped him, videos of the clip have gone viral on social media.

During the same event, Mysskin described Sasi as a "Saint/God-like person". "Sasi is one of the hundred gods I have encountered in my life. There are hardly any gods/saints in cinema. Very few, in fact. I doubt whether even ten people would qualify. In my 30 years of experience in the film industry, Sasi is the only saint-like person who contacts me once every month, meets me in person, talks to me, and embraces me warmly," he shared.

He further added, "When we enter cinema, we dream of achieving great things—winning a National Award, perhaps ten Filmfare Awards, or even an Oscar. But one day, we will all die. Sasi, however, will never truly die. He is a God."

Besides Vijay Antony and Swasika as the female lead, Nooru Saami will also star Lijomol Jose and Vijay Antony's nephew Ajay Dhishan in important roles. Sakthi and Kavya Anil are also a part of the film's cast. The supporting cast includes Balaji Sakthivel, Munishkanth, Aruldoss, Jenson Dhivakar, Padini Kumar, Bagavathi Perumal, Thamarai, Vinodhini, Muthualagi, Kodangi Vadivelu, Saratha, Abinaya, Sabitha Roy, Moorthy, and Subramania Siva, among others.

The trailer which was recently unveiled, establishes that while Pichaikkaran made man see his mother as a deity, Nooru Saami will make man see his mother as a human being. We then see Swasika as Selvi, a single mother, who seems to sacrifice her life for her boys. However, she seems to have aspirations as well, which she is not able to pursue because of judgement from society and family. What happens when she finally chooses herself forms the crux of the story.

Nooru Saami is slated for release in theatres on June 19.
