After wrapping the shoot for his highly-anticipated actioner Magudam recently, Vishal is currently working full swing for the post-production of the movie. Now, in his latest announcement, he has introduced a new musician/lyricist for his film.
After the massive debut of HipHop Tamizha in Aambala, Vishal shared his hope for young talent V7H aka Vinodh who has sung and written the lyrics of Magudam's latest single 'Rise of Linga'. "Some introductions change the game. 2015 – Hip Hop Tamizha; 2026 – V7H (a) Vinodh. A decade apart. One belief. Backing talent that dares to dream. Super proud and excited to be part of history," he wrote, sharing a throwback video of his first collaboration with HipHop Tamizha which cuts to V7H singing 'Rise of Linga'.
As reported earlier, Magudam marks Vishal's directorial debut. The actor had stepped into direct Magudam last year after creative differences with Ravi Arasu, who was initially in charge of helming the project. Ravi Arasu is now credited with the story for the movie. Anjali and Dushara Vijayan play the female leads. Jayaprakash, John Vijay, Ajay, Vamsi Krishna, Abu Salim, Arjai, Vj Jhansi, Padam Kumar, Sabhumon and others star in supporting roles.
The recently-released teaser of the movie takes its viewers on a fever-induced trip to several action-packed scenes with the actor taking on multiple roles. A young man with a corporate job, a similar-aged gangster and a much-older assassin who can bring blood to breakfast within a snap of a finger. It is not known if Vishal plays three roles set across the same timeline or three different timelines.
Pon Parthiban is writing the dialogues for the film, along with Anandh Kumaresan writing the dialogues in Tamil, and Rajesh A Moorthy writing the dialogues in Telugu. The crew of the film includes GV Prakash as the composer, NB Srikanth as the editor, and G Durairaj as the art director. Late director-producer RB Choudary's Super Good Films banner is backing the film.
Magudam is slated to hit theatres in July this year. Besides Tamil, the film will also release in Telugu as Makutam.
