The Avan Ivan duo, Arya and Vishal, have reunited to celebrate 15 years of the film's release. Actor Vishal shared a video of the occasion, which featured a montage of photos which showed the pair recreating poses from the film.
The video, which was shot by actor and Arya's wife Sayyeshaa, also featured some famous scenes from the film. Vishal captioned the video by writing, "15 years challenge. What an experience it was. 230 days of filming and a character that I can never forget and never will try in my life. Especially the squint. Gossshhh. Met Jammy (Arya) and Sayeesha and family for lunch after ages. Luckily close to my shooting spot."
Avan Ivan was written and directed by Bala, and followed two half brothers and their quarrels and their adventures. The cast of the film includes Ambika, GM Kumar, Janani, and Madhu Shalini. Actor Suriya also made a cameo appearance as himself.
Actor Vishal famously maintained a squint eye for the film.
Yuvan Shankar Raja composed music for the film, which featured lyrics by the late Na Muthukumar.
