Sundar C is all set to reunite with his Aambala team, namely Vishal and HipHop Tamizha Aadhi, for his next. The official announcement was made on Monday. The announcement was made with a video, similar to a video that came out during the release of Aambala in 2015.
Khushbu Sundar under the Avni Cinemax banner and ACS Arun Kumar under the Benzz Media banner are set to present the yet-to-be-titled film. With the first-look promo scheduled to drop on January 21 at 6 pm, the title and other details are still under wraps.
HipHop Tamizha, the musical duo consisting of rapper Adhi and music producer Jeeva, made their entry into cinema with Sundar C's Aambala (2015). The duo then went on to collaborate with Sundar C, with Adhi even becoming a director and actor.
In January last year, Vishal and Sundar C's first collaboration, Madha Gaja Raja, was released after 12 years. While the duo has collaborated on Kathakali (2016) and Kaththi Sandai (2017), their latest outing was 6 years ago, with Action (2019).
Sundar C's latest directorial was Gangers, which was released in April. He recently wrapped filming for Mookuthi Amman 2 starring Nayanthara. He was set to direct a film starring Rajinikanth and produced by Kamal Haasan but later backed out. Meanwhile, Vishal is currently working on Magudam, his directorial debut.
