Actor Vishnuu Vishal is currently busy promoting his upcoming film, Gatta Kusthi 2. A sequel to his 2022 film, Gatta Kusthi, the film also stars Aishwarya Lekshmi reprising her role from the original.

While the former film revolved around a husband coming to terms with his wife being a wrestler, the second is said to revolve around the inversion of gender norms. Vishnuu Vishal has openly been speaking about the stereotypes he broke as a man, and recently he was asked when was the last time he cried.

While the expected answer was an incident or a situation, the Aaryan actor revealed that a film was what made him pour his heart out in tears recently. Interestingly, the film is none other than his own upcoming reunion with his Mundasupatti and Raatchasan director, Ramkumar.

He revealed to Galatta, “I recently watched Irandu Vaanam. After watching it, I cried a lot. It’s Ramkumar’s film, and while watching it, I felt a very intense kind of pain inside me. Because for three years, I was in that film (part of that journey). And I struggled a lot for that movie. When I watched it, I cried a lot."

Irandu Vaanam also stars Mamitha Baiju as the female lead. Joining Ramkumar in the technical crew are music composer Dhibu Ninan Thomas, cinematographer Dinesh K Babu, editor San Lokesh, art director A Gopi Anand, and stunt choreographer Vicky. Sathya Jyothi Films is producing Irandu Vaanam.

Last seen in Aaryan, Vishnuu Vishal also has Mohandas in the pipeline apart from Irandu Vaanam and Gatta Kusthi 2. The lattermost is scheduled to open in theatres on July 3 and also stars Munishkanth, Karunakaran, Yogi Babu, Zara Zyanna, Kaali Venkat and Ramya Krishnan, among others.
