Venky Atluri: Viswanath and Sons has GV Prakash's trademark music

Here is what Viswanath and Sons director said about its composer GV Prakash on his birthday

This Saturday marks actor-composer GV Prakash's birthday. Among the many who wished the music director cum actor on his birthday is director Venky Atluri. As reported earlier, GV Prakash is part of the Lucky Baskhar filmmaker's upcoming project, Viswanath and Sons, as its composer. A Tamil-Telugu film, it is billed as an unexpected love story, starring Suriya and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles.

Venky Atluri took to his Instagram Stories space and wished GV Prakash on his birthday. He wrote, "Happy birthday GV Prakash.. May the year ahead be as reMARKable as the music you have given over the years!!" The filmmaker added, "Super excited for the first single of Viswanath and Sons and the other four songs as well. Looking forward to all the amazing moments it is going to create."

According to Venky Atluri, the film's album is "trademark" GV Prakash material.

The upcoming film also stars Raveena Tandon and Radikaa Sarathkumar. Raveena's last credit in South Indian cinema is KGF: Chapter 2, where she plays the Prime Minister of India. With Viswanath and Sons, she comes back to Tamil cinema for the first time after 2001's Aalavandhan, co-starring Kamal Haasan, and to Telugu cinema after 2014's Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda, starring Vishnu Manchu in the lead role.

On the technical front, the upcoming Suriya starrer also has cinematographer Nimish Ravi of Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra fame, editor Navin Nooli, and production designer Banglan.

The film is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya. The production banners include Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinemas, and Srikara Studios. The makers call the film a "story of dreams, emotions, and unexpected love" and promises "the biggest family entertainer" of the year with it. The film is slated for an August 14 release.
