Vishnuu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi's Gatta Kusthi 2 continued its theatrical run on a steady note on its first Tuesday, taking its worldwide gross collection to Rs 25.64 crore after five days.

According to Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 2.51 crore gross (Rs 2.20 crore net) in India on Day 5 (Tuesday) across 2,201 shows, registering an overall occupancy of 22 per cent. The film's India gross now stands at Rs 21.14 crore, while it has collected an additional Rs 4.50 crore from overseas markets, taking its worldwide gross to Rs 25.64 crore. Its cumulative India net collection is Rs 18.40 crore.

The film witnessed a strong opening weekend, collecting Rs 3.11 crore on Friday before jumping to Rs 5.69 crore on Saturday and peaking at Rs 7.13 crore on Sunday. As expected, collections dipped on Monday to Rs 2.70 crore, but Tuesday's Rs 2.51 crore indicates that the film has largely held its ground with only a marginal day-on-day drop of around 7 per cent, suggesting stable weekday traction.

Tamil Nadu continues to be the film's biggest market by a considerable margin. Of the Rs 21.14 crore India gross collected so far, the state has contributed Rs 18.70 crore, including Rs 2.25 crore on Tuesday alone. Karnataka has added Rs 1.39 crore, followed by Kerala with Rs 0.80 crore, while Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have contributed Rs 0.10 crore and the rest of India Rs 0.15 crore.

Helmed by Chella Ayyavu, Gatta Kusthi 2 also stars Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Karunaas, Munishkanth, Kaali Venkat, Lizzie Antony, Gajaraj, Sreeja Ravi, Karunakaran, Zara Zyanna, and Mokksha, among others. The film features technical work by cinematographer KM Bhaskaran, editor Barath Vikraman and composer Sean Roldan.

An excerpt from CE's review of the film reads, "Nevertheless, Gatta Kusthi 2 does a lot of things right, especially with the character of Mathi, who talks and behaves like a first-standard girl. She isn’t asked to act much beyond her years, and it is a welcome relief."
