Vikram Prabhu's 25th outing at the theatres, Sirai, which was released for Christmas last year, is all set to premiere on OTT, nearly a month after its release. The film, helmed by Suresh Rajakumari, also stars LK Akshay Kumar, who made his debut with the film. Upon release the film opened to critical acclaim.

Sirai will stream on ZEE5 from January 23, as announced by the streamer on Friday. The film also stars Anishma Anilkumar and Anantha in prominent supporting roles. LK Akshay Kumar is the son of producer SS Lalit Kumar, who backed the film under his Seven Screen Studios banner. Anishma Anilkumar plays Akshay’s romantic interest, while Anantha stars opposite Vikram Prabhu.

Sirai marks the directorial debut of Suresh Rajakumari, a former associate of Vetri Maaran. The film has a story from Taanakkaran fame Tamizh. Tamizh and Suresh have penned the script for the film.

An excerpt from CE's review of the film reads, "Just like how the romantic portions don't overstay their welcome, and the preachiness is dialled down to a commendable level, Sirai doesn't dwell too much in the world of cops either."

The film features a strong technical crew, with music composed by Justin Prabhakaran, cinematography by Madesh Manickam and editing by Philomin Raj. Action sequences have been choreographed by stunt director Prabhu. Arun K and Manikandan serve as executive producers.
