Earlier today, composer GV Prakash performed the first track in his album version of Thiruvasagam in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister of State for Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, L Murugan, in Delhi. The performance came as part of Pongal celebrations at the Union Minister's residence in Delhi as a way of respecting Tamil Nadu's traditions. Also present on the event were Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan and Kenishaa Francis. Notably, Prakash is also the composer for Sivakarthikeyan's latest film Parasakthi, also starring Atharvaa and Sreeleela.

The composer shared a still from the event where he can be seen shaking hands with PM Modi. For the uninitiated, Thiruvasagam refers to poet Manikkavacakar's hymns dating back to the third century. He also announced that the album would be launched in the near future. Earlier, Ilaiyaraaja also composed Thiruvasagam in symphony form way back in the 2000s mid. At the time, Shri Jaipal Reddy, Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting and Culture, released its CD in Chennai.

On the film front, GV Prakash is set to appear opposite Kayadu Lohar in director Mariyappan Chinna's Immortal next. The composer-actor's upcoming films also include writer-director Maria Raja Elanchezian's Happy Raj, co-starring Sri Gouri Priya, Abbas, and George Maryan, among others, and Mental Manadhil, directed by Selvaraghavan and co-starring Madhuri Jain. While Happy Raj has a different composer, Mental Manadhil is produced by and has compositions by GV Prakash himself. He is also serving as a composer for director AL Vijay's documentary about Ajith Kumar's racing endeavours.
