With barely three days remaining for the release of Sudha Kongara's Parasakthi, Atharvaa has opened up about working with Sivakarthikeyan, how Ravi Mohan has been a long-time inspiration and what the film really has to offer to audiences.

As per a press release, Atharvaa described the film's larger significance; Atharvaa called Parasakthi a story rooted in the state’s socio-political past. “Parasakthi is a piece of history, mirroring the student movements that shaped our state. It promises to be a special and indelible film for all of you,” he said.

Recalling a personal memory that shaped his outlook on joy and performance, Atharvaa spoke about Ravi Mohan, whom he considers a long-time inspiration. “I still recall watching his dance in Santhosh Subramaniam with my family; a particular sequence in which he dances alone in the rain filled us all with joy. My mother remarked that when one engages in joyful pursuits, those around them share in the happiness. From that moment, I embraced the ideal of cultivating personal joy while spreading it to others,” he said.

Sharing a special bond with Sivakarthikeyan, Atharvaa said the actor has become family to him. “Sivakarthikeyan is now my brother both onscreen and off. I have always marvelled at his career growth; every step he takes is meticulously calculated. Few successes feel as intimately personal as his, and SK’s achievements fill me with unalloyed joy,” he added.

Parasakthi marks Sudha's fourth directorial venture after Drohi, Irudhi Suttru, and Soorarai Pottru. The movie boasts an impressive technical crew, including GV Prakash Kumar as the music composer, Ravi K Chandran as cinematographer, and Sathish Surya as editor. Aakash Baskaran produces the film under Dawn Pictures, with Dev Ramnath serving as creative producer and MP Senthel and Rhea Kongara as executive producers.

Red Giant Movies is handling the distribution. Parasakthi is set to release on January 10, 2026, and will face stiff competition from Vijay's final film, Jana Nayagan, which hits theatres on January 9, 2026.
