Actor Ravi Mohan made a striking impression at the Parasakthi audio launch as he spoke candidly about his role in the film, his admiration for Sivakarthikeyan, and what made him say yes to the project.

Opening his speech on a light-hearted note, Ravi Mohan addressed the curiosity around his character, saying, “Until now, you’ve seen me as a hero. In Parasakthi, you’re going to see me as a villain.” He acknowledged that many questioned his decision to play a negative role in another star’s film. “A lot of people asked me why I should play a villain in another hero’s movie,” he said.

Explaining his choice, Ravi Mohan revealed that the decision was deeply rooted in conviction. “There are two reasons why I agreed to do this movie. One is the script, and of course, Sudha (Kongara) ma’am,” he shared. He further added that the film’s core theme resonated strongly with him. “This film speaks about self-respect and dignity. I felt I should protect my own self-respect as well, and that was also a reason why I chose to do this film.”

Calling the film a standout, Ravi Mohan didn’t hold back his praise after watching it. “I watched Parasakthi. This film is gold,” he said, adding that he usually refrains from speaking openly about films he leads. “But this is SK’s 25th film. Parasakthi is a piece of gold made with the hard work of many people.”

He concluded his speech by lauding Sivakarthikeyan’s journey and success. “Sivakarthikeyan deserves all this success. With no one backing him except the support of his fans, he has reached this level,” Ravi Mohan said, urging audiences to continue standing by the actor. “Please hold him close and be with him to take him to even greater heights and to conduct his film events in even bigger auditoriums.”

Helmed by Sudha Kongara, Parasakthi also stars Sreeleela and Atharvaa in lead roles. The film is gearing up to hit theatres on January 10, a day after the release of Vijay's Jana Nayagan.
