Director Ashwath Marimuthu, who made his directorial debut with Oh My Kadavule and backed it with the blockbuster hit, Dragon, is currently busy filming Dharman with Rajinikanth, bankrolled by Kamal Haasan.

The director, meanwhile, is also gearing up to make his acting debut with a film produced by Pradeep Ranganathan, helmed by a team of six filmmakers, and co-starring Mamitha Baiju and Swasika. Amidst his busy schedule, the filmmaker recently attended a Galatta event, where he spoke about a biopic of actor-turned-chief minister Joseph Vijay.

Of course, the question itself was only speculative. Ashwath was asked, "If you got the opportunity to make a biographical film on CM Vijay, what would be the title and interval block? To this, he said, "If I direct the biopic of CM Joseph Vijay, it will be titled Nenjil Kudirukum. The first half of the film will feature his cinema journey. His decision to enter politics will be the interval block of the film. The rest will be about his political journey."

While no such project is happening at the moment, the filmmaker was elated about the prospects, nonetheless. Vijay, having become the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, has quit cinema after his 69th film, Jana Nayagan, helmed by H Vinoth. The film recently premiered on ZEE5 after the theatrical run.

Meanwhile, Ashwath Marimuthu's Dharman shooting is progressing at a brisk pace. The film, which marks Rajinikanth's reunion with Kamal Haasan after nearly four decades, also stars Simran and Raashi Khanna. Rajinikanth's character has been described as the "Deadly Doctor" in the film's posters. Ram Pothineni was reported to be a part of the film, but the makers are yet to confirm the same. More details about the film's extended cast, crew, plot, genre, and release date are awaited.
