Lokesh Kanagaraj's acting debut, DC, has maintained its momentum at the box office, with the film recording a steady hold on its first Tuesday. The film earned a Rs 5.40 crore net in India on Day 5, taking its five-day India net collection to Rs 32.35 crore. Its India gross currently stands at Rs 37.21 crore.

The film registered a 26.9% overall occupancy on Tuesday across 4,713 shows. While the Day 5 collection marked a decline from Monday's Rs 6 crore, the drop remained relatively controlled despite the film navigating its first full weekday stretch.

The Tamil version continued to be the biggest contributor to the film's domestic performance. It collected Rs 3.65 crore net on Tuesday from 2,242 shows, registering 35% occupancy. Telugu contributed another Rs 1.50 crore from 1,239 shows at 26% occupancy, while the Hindi version added Rs 0.25 crore from 1,232 shows at 13% occupancy.

The film's overseas performance also remained consistent, with Rs 1.25 crore added on Day 5. Its overseas gross has now reached Rs 14.50 crore, taking the film's worldwide gross to Rs 51.71 crore after five days.

DC opened its theatrical run with Rs 4.40 crore on Friday before seeing its collections rise to Rs 7 crore on Saturday and Rs 9.55 crore on Sunday. After collecting Rs 6 crore on Monday, the film has now added Rs 5.40 crore on Tuesday, putting its India net at Rs 32.35 crore.

Helmed by Arun Matheswaran, DC follows an outcast, named Devadas (Lokesh), who embarks on a quest for redemption and justice soon after taking revenge against those who hurt an innocent family. A bloody and gory take on Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's novel Devdas, the film also stars Wamiqa Gabbi, Sanjana Krishnamoorthy, Krish Dayal, Avinash Raghudevan, and Thalaivasal Vijay, among others.

DC has been earning plenty of appreciation for Anirudh's work as a composer. According to reviewers, the music director has delivered an output that is woven well into the narrative, with 'Raaga of Revenge' being the standout number in the soundtrack.
