Director-producer Vignesh Shivan has become the latest celebrity to share his views on Lokesh Kanagaraj's DC. He praised it, calling it "one of the craziest Tamil movies ever made" also hailed Anirudh's soundtrack.

In this Instagram story, Vignesh Shivan wrote, "I saw one of the craziest Tamil movies ever made. Lokesh's first, Arun's best, Wamiqa bestttt. My king Anirudh's bestest!. Whataaaa theatrical experience! What amazing shots! Omg! Still not out of the impact the film left on me. Go watch this in theatres near you."

He also shared his special appreciation for Anirudh, calling him "king" and a "once in a generation magical star." He reflected on his musical style over the years and his rising career and said he is "boon for filmmakers." Vignesh Shivan further said that he went "Godmode" while creating the soundtrack for DC.

Directed by Arun Matheswaran, the action thriller has been garnering immense praise and critical acclaim from audiences and critics upon release on Friday. Anirudh, who released a 15-track album ahead of the release, has been garnering massive claps for spearheading the story through his genre-blending music.

Besides Lokesh, Wamiqa Gabbi and Sanjana Krishnamoorthy play female leads. Avinash Raghudevan also portrays a key role. The film revolves around Devadas (Lokesh) who joins forces with Chandra in a dangerous world where passion and peril collide.

DC marks Lokesh's acting debut and Arun's fourth directorial after Rocky (2021), Saani Kaayidham (2022), and Captain Miller (2024). Produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Picutres banner, DC has cinematography by Mukesh G, editing by GK Prasanna, and stunt choreography by PC Stunts.
