Dhanush responds to Yatra's speculated entry to film industry: 'I still see him as a kid...'

Dhanush's response comes days after news reports of Yatra making his film debut went viral on social media

Dhanush is currently busy with the promotions of his upcoming film Kara, directed by Vignesh Raja, which hits theatres on April 30. During the recent pre-release event of this period action drama, the actor was asked if his elder son Yatra would soon be debuting in films.

The actor cleared the air saying, "I came into acting at the age of 16 because of my circumstances. He is just 19 now, and I still see him as a kid. I don’t know what he will become yet, it’s too early to say."

Dhanush's response comes days after news reports of Yatra making his film debut went viral on social media. It is well known that the actor shares a deep bond with his sons Yatra and Linga and the duo are often seen at the audio launch events of his films.

His upcoming film Kara features Mamitha Baiju as Selli, Jayaram as Muthu Selvan, KS Ravikumar as Kandhasaami, Suraj Venjaramoodu as Bharathan, and Karunaas as Kasi Maayan, Sreeja Ravi as Dhanam, and Prithvi Pandiarajan as Murugesan. MS Bhaskar is also part of the film. 

The film has Dhanush playing Karasaami aka Kara, a robber during the Gulf War of 1991 which leads to a fuel crises in Tamil Nadu, forcing him to battle for his sustenance.

Besides Kara, Dhanush has a slew of films in his line-up which includes D55 with Rajkumar Periyasamy, D56 with Tamizharasan Pachamuthu and a film with Mari Selvaraj.
