MS Bhaskar has won his first National Award for his performance in Parking. The actor won in the category of Best Actor in a Supporting Role, an award which he shares with Vijayaraghavan for Pookkaalam. Speaking about his win the actor says, "I thank director Ramkumar Balakrishnan and the producers for giving me an opportunity on this film."

Parking also won the award for Best Screenplay and the Best Tamil Film. The citation for the film when it won the Best Screenplay award read: "For crafting a tout, layered screenplay that escalates a trivial domestic issue into a tense psychological drama that exposes the fragility of the urban setting." When asked about the impact of the film, the actor says, "Films of different titles may come and go, but nothing can replace human ego. But to represent ego in the form of such a small issue lies with the talent of the director, Ramkumar. I am happy that the film has been well received."

Along with MS Bhaskar, Parkingalso stars Harish Kalyan, Indhuja Ravichandran, Prathana Nathan, Rama Rajendra, and Ilavarasu. The film is director Ramkumar's debut film. It was released theatrically on December 1 2023.

Previously, the screenplay of the film was added to the library of Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences. The Academy is the authority that awards the Oscars each year.
