'Ayya Ayya' from Dhanush's Kara out

Music for the Dhanush-starrer, Kara, is composed by GV Prakash Kumar

The third single, 'Ayya Ayya', from Dhanush's upcoming heist drama, Kara, has been unveiled by its makers. Continuing his collaboration with the actor after Nilavukku En Mel Ennadi Kobam (2025) and Idli Kadai (2025), is music composer GV Prakash Kumar.

'Ayya Ayya' is sung by the composer, with Yugabharathi writing the lyrics. The song is a melancholic ode to a father, by a son, who is regretful of his past actions. The video for the song consists of some scenes from the film, and some moments behind the scenes.

Kara is the sophomore directorial venture of Vignesh Raja, who has written the film along with Alfred Prakash. The film is set in Ramanathapuram, during the early 1990s, in a time of fuel crisis, due to the onset of the Gulf War of 1991.

With Dhanush in the titular role as Kara (a) Karasaami, the cast of the film includes Mamitha Baiju as Selli, Jayaram as Muthu Selvan, KS Ravikumar as Kandhasaami, Suraj Venjaramoodu as Bharathan, and Karunaas as Kasi Maayan, Sreeja Ravi as Dhanam, and Prithvi Pandiarajan as Murugesan. National Award winning actor, MS Bhaskar is also part of the film, with his character yet to be revealed.

The crew of the film includes Theni Eswar as the director of photography, Sreejith Sarang as the editor, Mayapandi as the art director, and Dinesh Kasi as the action director.

Ishari K Ganesh has produced the film under his Vels Film International banner, with Kushmita Ganesh serving as a co-producer.
