Actor Silambarasan was among the many actors from the Tamil film industry, who cast his vote in the state assembly elections held on Thursday. Sharing his enthusiasm after showing his inked finger to the media, the actor urged people to fulfill their democratic right.
During the same conversation, the actor was asked if he would enter politics in the future, like his fellow star Vijay who successfully made his foray into the arena through his party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). He gave a cheeky response for it saying, "Don't you like me being happy? Only recently many issues sorted out for me and I am back with renewed vigour to act to my fullest potential. It feels like you are digging a hole for it."
On the work front, Silambarasan is currently shooting for Arasan, which recently met with troubles due to the longstanding dispute between the actor and the film's producer Ishari K Ganesh. However, the issue seems to have sorted out and the film's shoot had resumed recently. Based on a Vetri Maaran story and direction, the film is part of the Vada Chennai universe and stars key characters including Samuthirakani's Guna, Kishore's Senthil and Andrea Jeremiah's Chandra, reprising their roles from the 2018 film. Vijay Sethupathi is also part of the cast.
After Arasan, he is set to join director Ashwath Marimuthu in STR 51. A fantasy rom-com, STR 51 was announced last year with a glimpse video that showed Silambarasan playing 'God of Love'.
