Silambarasan is currently involved in two much-anticipated projects: Vetri Maaran's Arasan and Ashwath Marimuthu's untitled STR 51. While the former is currently shooting in full swing, there has been significant buzz surrounding the Dragon filmmaker's project as well.
A fantasy rom-com, STR 51 was announced last year with a glimpse video that showed Silambarasan playing 'God of Love'. In a recent event, Ashwath said, "The story explores the concept of sorgam (Paradise). In Dragon, we spoke about education and what happens when you make mistakes. In the same way, we will understand what paradise means. The film will not be preachy," he said, confirming Santhanam's casting in the film.
"There is also a fan-favourite music composer in it. We are still finalising the female lead, but I can say that there is more than just one female lead in it. Silambarasan will also be dancing for the film, something that he hasn't done in a long time," he added.
Following Arasan, Ashwath will start production for STR 51. The makers are yet to reveal the film's title, but the Oh My Kadavule filmmaker recently said that it would begin with 'I'.
Meanwhile, Silambarasan much-anticipated film Arasan belongs to the world of Vada Chennai. Besides the actor, Arasan also stars Vijay Sethupathi along with Andrea Jeremiah, reprising her role as Chandra from Vada Chennai, and Yogalakshmi. Samuthirakani is also back as Guna, along with Kishore as Senthil.
