Actor Ajith Kumar’s racing team is currently preparing in Barcelona for the prestigious 24-hour Creventic Series in Spain. In an interview with India Today from Barcelona, the actor has now revealed one key detail about his next film, which will mark his 24th.
When asked about his film commitments, Ajith said, "The script for my next film is getting ready. I am bound by a contract. So, I need to wait for the official announcement to speak about it." In the same interview, Ajith also expressed his pride in being an Indian. He said, "I am very proud to be an Indian. I am also very proud to be a part of the Tamil film industry and to be representing the film industry here in international circuits."
While it is still unclear who Ajith is collaborating with for his next film, Adhik Ravichandran confirmed in July that he has received an opportunity to collaborate with his Good Bad Ugly star again. It is yet to be known if Adhik is set to helm Ajith's 64th, or another film, after this upcoming film.
Earlier, in a conversation with The New Indian Express' Indulge, the actor confirmed that he will start working on his next in September. On films, he said he can still balance racing and films if he manages to "squeeze a film between the November to February period"; he can have releases every year. He added that he is planning to shoot his next film this November and is planning to get the film released around April/May 2026.
Ajith was last seen in Adhik Ravichandran's Good Bad Ugly. The film also starred Trisha, Arjun Das, Sunil, Prabhu, Prasanna, Karthikeya Dev, Priya Prakash Varrier, Jackie Shroff, Shine Tom Chacko, Tinnu Anand, BS Avinash and Raghu Ram.
Meanwhile, the actor's 2004 action film Attahasam is set for a re-release in theatres on October 31.
