At the Michelin 12H Paul Ricard 2025 - Race on Saturday, where his team Ajith Kumar Racing is competing, the actor addressed the prospects of him starring in a car racing film set in India. Drawing a comparison between Brad Pitt starring in F1, a film shot in real locations and also featuring real-life Formula One drivers, the broadcaster's anchor asked Ajith whether a similar film against the backdrop of the 24H series is likely. In his response, Ajith suggested that he would rather do a film such as Fast and Furious or even an F1 sequel in Hollywood. "I normally perform my own stunts in the film. So if there is a calling, why not?" Ajith said.
Speaking of which, Brad Pitt and his F1 co-star Damson Idris indeed got behind the wheel and sweat it out for the film, although real-life racers Luciano Bacheta and Craig Dolby also served as their stunt doubles.
Ajith is known for his commitments to action sequences, including even those with high levels of risk. For example, he does a wheelie in Valimai; in fact, the sequence that eventually led to his fall during its production is in the film's climax. The actor got back up on his feet and resumed shoot, underscoring his dedication to high-stakes action.
Ajith's background as a racing driver also plays a role in his comfort and expertise with vehicle-based stunts, which he often performs himself. The actor is enjoying time away from the limelight that comes with cinema as he is now committed to his career as a motorcar racer with his own team. He recently revealed that he would come back to films towards the end of the year.
