Ajith Kumar: It's good to be a nobody in some field

Actor and racer Ajith Kumar, who after the success of Good Bad Ugly is back on the racing circuit. In a recent interview, the actor said moving away from stardom to pursue his passion has effectively made him overcome the larger-than-life persona in Tinseltown.

In his interview on the Mashable YouTube channel, the actor, in response to a question about how he is not basking in the glory of his stardom and being humble in doing things he likes, said it feels good to be a celebrated star in films and be an absolute nobody in racing; it gives him a sense of balance and not egotism.

In the same interview, he spoke about his plans to make motorsports popular in India and bring on board Indian racers in his Ajith Kumar Racing team.

The actor was last seen in Adhik Ravichandran's Good Bad Ugly, which was celebrated by his fans for being replete with theatrical moments and regular hat tips to his older films. He said he will begin filming for his next this November and try to get it released by April/May next year.

The actor, whose acting career spans over three decades and 63 films, recently was awarded the Padma Bhushan recognising his contribution to the field of arts.
