Actor Sivakarthikeyan stated at the inaugural event of the Tamil Nadu government's flagship scheme, Kalviyil Sirandha Tamil Nadu, that his education gives him the confidence to navigate the uncertainties of the film industry.

In his speech, the actor said, "Many of us feel that I have done a BE and an MBA, but it is in a totally unrelated vocation of films. Truth be told, I don't have a background, and the film industry is as volatile as it could get. When I am faced with certain challenges in my career, I think of my two degrees as a buffer zone. I tell myself, 'If things fail in films, I can do some work with the help of my degrees.'"

He also appreciated the passion of the students present at the event to scale heights and make academic accomplishments. He quoted a Thirukkural verse to emphasise the importance of education.

On the professional front, Sivakarthikeyan, who was last seen in Murugadoss' Madharaasi, has Sudha Kongara's Parasakthi, set for a release on January 14, 2026. He also has an untitled film with Don collaborator Cibi Chakravarthy and one with Venkat Prabhu. He also said a project with Pushkar-Gayatri is under discussion.
