The makers of Retta Thala, which stars Arun Vijay in the lead have revealed that the first single titled 'Kanamma' will be released on September 19. Actor Dhanush, who is Arun Vijay's co-star in Idli Kadai, will sing the song.

Sam CS is composing the music for Retta Thala. He is also turning as a lyricist for 'Kanamma'. Retta Thala is directed by Kris Thirukumaran, an associate of AR Murugadoss. The film is produced by Bobby Balachandran, with Manikandan serving as an executive producer. BTG Universal is the banner backing the film. A release date is yet to be announced.

Apart from Arun Vijay, the cast of the film also includes Sidhhi Idnani, Tanya Ravichandra, Yogi Samy, John Vijay, Hareesh Peradi, and Balaji Murugadoss.

Karthik Netha and Viveka are also writing lyrics for the film's album. The crew of the film includes Tijo Tomy as the director of photography, Anthony as the editor, and Arunshankar Durai as the art director.
