On Saturday night, director Saran took to his official X handle, expressing his disappointment about the re-release trailer of Ajith's Attahasam. The filmmaker himself shared the trailer on X first, following which he also wrote about being unhappy about the re-release trailer of his 2004 directorial.

On X he wrote, "Producers! This trailer disappoints me. If you had entrusted me with this task, I would have acted as a goodwill gesture for the fans and warmed up the trailer... How good are FAN-MADE trailers? Anyway, all the best..."

Director Saran is also known for helming a number of Ajith films, including Kadhal Mannan, Amarkalam, and Aasal. He is also known for Kamal Haasan's Vasool Raja MBBS. Saran is reportedly onboard as co-writer for Ajith Kumar's AK64, which is reportedly helmed by Adhik Ravichandran.

Originally produced by Vijayam Cine Combines, Attahasam is being re-released through IFPA Max Productions, headed by Indian Film and Digital Producers Association (IFPA) President Priya Nair.

Attahasam stars Ajith in dual roles as Jeeva and Guru. The film also stars Pooja, while Sujatha, Nizhalgal Ravi, Babu Antony, Karunas, and Ramesh Khanna play key roles. It had music by Bharadwaj with cinematography by Venkatesh Anguraj and editing by Suresh Urs.

Attahasam remains one of Ajith’s most celebrated commercial entertainers, known for its gripping action, energetic soundtrack, and his commanding screen presence. The film was widely appreciated upon release and still holds a special place in the hearts of fans today.

Ajith, who is currently juggling both his film and racing commitments, was last seen in Adhik Ravichandran's Good Bad Ugly. Attahasam is all set to re-release in theatres on October 31.
