The 2027 Sankranthi festival is shaping up to be a big one for Tollywood, with several films already announcing their release dates. Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film with director Bobby Kolli is set to arrive during Sankranthi, while Venkatesh and Anil Ravipudi’s upcoming film has also locked a festive release. A few days ago, the Sharwanand-Sreenu Vaitla combination announced January 14, 2027 as its release date, making it another film in the Sankranthi race. Now, another actor has joined the list.

The makers of Sai Durgha Tej’s much-awaited Pan-India film Sambarala Yeti Gattu (SYG) have officially announced its release date. In a statement, the makers revealed that the film has successfully completed its entire shoot. Directed by debutant Rohith KP and produced by K Niranjan Reddy and Chaitanya Reddy under the Primeshow Entertainment banner, the ambitious action drama is now progressing through post-production.

The makers have announced that Sambarala Yeti Gattu will hit the screens on January 12, 2027, for Sankranthi. With this announcement, the upcoming Sankranthi season is expected to witness intense competition at the box office, while Telugu audiences can look forward to a variety of films.

The release poster presents Sai Durgha Tej in an intense and rugged avatar. Covered in blood and bruises, the actor is seen walking fearlessly through a setting engulfed in flames, holding a weapon and sporting a fierce expression. The burning structures, smoke and dramatic atmosphere suggest a world filled with conflict and high-voltage action.

With the shoot now successfully completed, the makers have shifted their focus to post-production, working extensively on the film’s technical and visual aspects to deliver a grand cinematic experience.

Sambarala Yeti Gattu has been shot across multiple locations, with elaborate sets and large-scale action sequences forming a major part of the film. The extensive production journey has now culminated in a complete wrap, marking a significant milestone for the team.

A top Bollywood actor is playing a crucial role in the film, further adding to its Pan-India appeal. Aishwarya Lekshmi, Jagapathi Babu, Sai Kumar, Srikanth and Ananya Nagalla are also part of the ensemble cast and will be seen in prominent roles.

Vetrivel Palanisamy is handling the cinematography, while B Ajaneesh Loknath is composing the music. Editor Nawin Vijay Krishna, production designer Gandhi Nadikudikar and fight masters Peter Hein, Ram-Lakshman, Chethan and Prudhvi are part of the key technical team, contributing to the film’s ambitious visual canvas.
