After announcing two films as a part of the upcoming Netflix Tamil originals slate, the streamer unveiled a series titled #Love. Starring Arjun Das and Aishwarya Lekshmi in lead roles, the series is helmed by Maari filmmaker Balaji Mohan.

As per a press note, the official logline of #Love reads, "Sparks fly when the paths of Tara, a young and driven startup founder, cross with Matthew, a suave, flamboyant investor. While Tara believes in and bases her dating app on the ideology of compatibility, Matthew backs a dating app that endorses chemistry. They end up in a situation where they challenge each other to settle this debate of chemistry versus compatibility once and for all."

#Love is backed by Soundarya Rajinikanth under her May6 Entertainment banner. Speaking about the series, director Balaji said, "#Love is a modern take on the classic ‘opposites attract’ idea, but with a fresh twist of technology and dating apps. A story that reflects today’s dating landscape while exploring timeless questions about love — contemporary, relatable and charming. Collaborating with Netflix and Soundarya Rajinikanth’s May6 Entertainment has given me and my team the right canvas to paint this charming tale for today’s audience, and we can’t wait for the viewers to celebrate love in all its messy, unpredictable, and deeply human glory."

Further, Arjun Das said, "I’m truly delighted to be a part of #Love, a show that beautifully captures the highs and lows of relationships in today’s world. Set against the vibrant backdrop of an IT startup built around a dating app, it dives into the complexities of finding a genuine connection in the digital age. The character I got to play was interesting, and I believe audiences will find the show's themes and characters relatable. It’s been a wonderful experience working on a Netflix show and collaborating with Soundarya Rajnikanth, Balaji Mohan, and the entire team."

Lastly, Aishwarya Lekshmi said, “In the age of swipes, matches, and instant messages, #Love captures how two complete opposites stumble into each other’s lives and delves into how unexpected bonds can form in a fast-paced world. I’m glad to share that working on #Love with director Balaji Mohan and his direction team, DOP Harish, co-actors Arjun Das, Arjun Chidambaram, Harini, and Kiran, along with stylist Pallavi Singh and her team, has been a comfortable and positive experience. It’s a hard-working team, and I appreciate the professional environment they create.”

A premiere date for the series is yet to be announced.
