Vishnu Vishal- Aishwarya Lekshmi's Gatta Kusthi 2 to wrap filming in one continuous schedule

The much-awaited sequel to Gatta Kusthi has officially gone on floors, with shooting set to be completed in a single, uninterrupted schedule, as per reports. A traditional pooja ceremony was held on Monday to mark the launch, following which filming commenced.

Directed by Chella Ayyavu, Gatta Kusthi 2 will once again star Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi in the lead. The team will be filming across multiple locations, including Chennai, Ambasamudram, and Pollachi in Tamil Nadu, as well as Palakkad in Kerala.

Ahead of the launch, the makers unveiled a quirky promo video that quickly went viral, receiving overwhelming love from fans. The video, which featured Vishnu Vishal, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Ishari K Ganesh, Karunas, Kali Venkat, Munishkanth, and director Chella Ayyavu himself, hinted that the sequel will carry forward the comic energy of the original.

While the first film had a complete ending, sources reveal that Gatta Kusthi 2 will continue in the same universe. Staying true to its sports drama roots, the sequel will once again weave in light-hearted takes on everyday family issues, promising a full-fledged commercial entertainer.

The returning cast includes Karunas, Kaali Venkat, Munishkanth, and Gajaraj, with Karunakaran joining the franchise in a crucial role. Vishnu Vishal Studioz has teamed up with Vels Film International to bankroll the project, with Shubhra, Aryan Ramesh, and Ishan Saxena of Ivy Entertainment serving as co-producers.

Behind the camera, the technical team comprises cinematographer K M Bhaskaran, music composer Sean Roldan, editor Barath Vikraman, and art director S Jayachandran. Action sequences will be choreographed by Murugan, while Baba Bhaskar will take care of the dance numbers.
