Actor-politician Seeman shared his views about Dhanush's Idli Kadai after watching the film. Idli Kadai, which is written, directed, produced, and Dhanush, was released on October 1.

In a video released by the makers, Seeman said, "In an attempt to reconnect with his village and his roots, Dhanush has made a commendable effort to make a film about a slice of life." He added, "Using a calf he is able to bring about a sense of poetry to the film."

"There is an average Idli Kadai, which does not expects money from school-going kids. That is a scene, which has happened in real life in the past. But when it arrives in the film, we are able to see a seamless screenplay taking hold of the film," said Seeman.

The rest of the cast of Idli Kadai includes Shalini Pandey, Nithya Menen, Samuthirakani, Raj Kiran, Sathyaraj, Parthiban, and Arun Vijay, amongst others.

GV Prakash Kumar is composing music for the film, continuing his collaboration with Dhanush after Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam.

Dhanush produces the film under his Wunderbar Films banner, along with Aakash Baskaran, who is producing under his Dawn Pictures banner. Inban Udhayanidhi, son of Tamil Nadu's Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, will get his first film credit as a presenter for Idli Kadai.

Seeman will be seen alongside Pradeep Ranganathan in Vignesh Shivan's Love Insurance Kompany, which is set to release on October 17.
