'Kanaa' song from Anupama Parameswaran's Lockdown is a melancholic melody

Helmed by first-time filmmaker AR Jeeva, Lockdown is gearing up to open in theatres on December 5

The makers of Anupama Parameswaran's Lockdown unveiled the first single from the film, titled 'Kanaa', on Tuesday. Composed by NR Raghunanthan, the melancholic melody is crooned by Aparna Harikumar. The song has lyrics penned by Sarathi.

Helmed by first-time filmmaker AR Jeeva, Lockdown also stars Charlie, Nirosha, Priya Venkat, Livingston, Indhumathi, Rajkumar, Shamji, Lollu Saba Maran, Vinayak Raj, Vidhu, Abhirami, Ravathi, Sanjivie, Priya Ganesh and Asha.

On the technical team, Lockdown has music by NR Raghunanthan and Siddharth Vipin, cinematography by KA Sakthivel, editing by VJ Sabu Joseph, and art direction by A Jayakumar.

Anupama Parameswaran had many releases in the year across Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam languages. She was seen in Dragon, Paradha, Kishkindhapuri, JSK: Janaki V vs. State of Kerala and The Pet Detective this year. She was last seen in Mari Selvaraj-Dhruv Vikram's Bison Kaalamaadan, which was released to rave reviews from audiences and critics.

Lockdown will premiere at the 56th International Film Festival of India in Goa ahead of its worldwide theatrical release on December 5. The film is backed by Lyca Productions.
