Anupama Parameswaran's Lockdown to premiere at IFFI 2025

Anupama Parameswaran's upcoming film Lockdown will premiere at the 56th International Film Festival of India at Goa, before its official release on December 5. Sharing the news, Lyca Productions, which is backing the film, expressed their happiness and called it a "milestone moment." The film is helmed by first-time filmmaker AR Jeeva.

Lockdown also stars Charlie, Nirosha, Priya Venkat, Livingston, Indhumathi, Rajkumar, Shamji, Lollu Saba Maran, Vinayak Raj, Vidhu, Abhirami, Ravathi, Sanjivie, Priya Ganesh and Asha.

Apart from Lockdown, Sivakarthikeyan's 2024 hit drama Amaran was also screened at IFFI. The lead actor, director Rajkumar Periyasamy, Sai Pallavi, along with Kamal Haasan, who backed the film, flew to Goa to attend the screening. It was opening film at the Indian Panorama section and has also been nominated for the Golden Peacock Award.

On the technical team, Lockdown has music by NR Raghunanthan and Siddharth Vipin, cinematography by KA Sakthivel, editing by VJ Sabu Joseph, and art direction by A Jayakumar. Upon release, the film is set to clash with Karthi's Vaa Vaathiyaar, directed by Nalan Kumarasamy.

Anupama Parameswaran had many releases in year across Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam languages. She was seen in DragonParadhaKishkindhapuriJSK: Janaki V v/s State of Kerala and The Pet Detective this year. She was last seen in Mari Selvaraj-Dhruv Vikram's Bison Kaalamaadan, which was released to rave reviews across audiences and critics.

IFFI opened on November 20 and will go on till November 28.
