As the film is slated for a Pongal festival release, the makers of Vijay-H Vinoth's Jana Nayagan announced that the audio launch event would be held in Malaysia on December 27.

The announcement was made with a special tribute video celebrating the career of Vijay, who will bow out of cinema and enter full-fledged politics, making his electoral debut in 2026's Tamil Nadu state assembly election.

Helmed by H Vinoth, Jana Nayagan also stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Priyamani, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mamitha Baiju, and Narain. The film reunites Vijay with Prakash Raj after Varisu, Pooja after Beast, and Gautham Vasudev Menon after Leo.

On the technical side, the film has music by Anirudh, cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan, editing by Pradeep E Ragav, action choreography by Anl Arasu, and art direction by Selva Kumar.

Jana Nayagan is produced by Venkat K Narayana and co-produced by Lohith N K and Jagadish Palanisamy. The film will be released in theatres on January 9, 2026, for the Pongal festival season.
