It is well known that a documentary on Ajith Kumar's passion for motor sports and his achievements in the field is being made by director Vijay. Composer-singer GV Prakash Kumar has now joined the team to score music for the documentary. Sharing a new video, GV Prakash had announced that he is reuniting with the actor and expressed his excitement for the collaboration. "Joining hands with AK sir again.. mass a class a tracks and OSTs on the way… thanks to my director AL Vijay and Suresh Chandraa sir (sic)," he wrote on his X handle.
Previously, the makers had shared a glimpse of the documentary. It begins with Ajith's voiceover saying, "You see the winners, but you don't see the tears behind the stage...' The actor is later seen running with an Indian flag in his hand after leaving his car. He greets his fans who had gathered to watch him on the racing track. From there, the video shows the many glimpses of his life on the arena - from intense preparation in the dressing room, adrenaline-filled laps around the track to even his accidents. He is seen saying, "In films, you have retakes, but in racing you don't. One mistake could wreck your car and you would lose your life. You could also end up hurting other people. It's hard for me as well as for my family." The documentary will also see the actor revealing some of his never-before-seen emotional side where he opens up on some deeply personal moments in his life.
The new video unveiled on Monday showed Ajith preparing for the Asian Le Mans Series (ALMS) where he teamed up with India's first F1 racer Narain Karthikeyan. As the race takes off, his stint is cut off abruptly as his car takes the damage. "Disheartening, but three's always another race," he tells the media after the race.
Speculations are rife that the documentary will hit screens in May 2026 during Ajith's birthday. However, an official confirmation is awaited.
GV Prakash scored music for Ajith Kumar's Good Bad Ugly earlier in 2025, 17 long years after their first collaboration Kireedam (2007). Ajith Kumar, meanwhile, will start shooting for AK64 in February next year where he reunites with Adhik Ravichandran.
