Director Bala pens note on Sasikumar's Best Actor win at Chennai International Film Festival

Sasikumar was he protagonist of Bala's Tharai Thappatai, which was released in 2013

Actor director Sasikumar took to social media to share a letter that was penned by director Bala, on the former's Best Actor win at the Chennai International Film Festival. Sasikumar won the award for his role in Abishan Jeevinth's Tourist Family.

Bala's letter to Sasikumar spoke about the shared memories of the duo and the continous regards Bala has for Sasikumar. Sasikumar shared the photo with the caption, "Heartfelt thanks to brother Bala who gave national (award) recognition... I will soon fulfill your desire."

Sasikumar starred as a Sri Lankan Tamil who migrates to India in search of a better life and creates one for his neighbours, with his charm and good nature.

Bala has directed Sasikumar in Tharai Thappatai (2016), in which he starred alongside Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. The film chronicles two members of a dance troupe and the hurdles and problems they face.
