After Vijay's The Greatest of All Time (2024), Venkat Prabhu is once again eyeing Hollywood studios for crafting a new look for Sivakarthikeyan for their upcoming collaboration SK26.

According to reports, the film is said to be a sci-fi entertainer crafted with a huge budget and will see the actor playing two different roles in the film. To craft one of his looks, the actor and director have flown to Los Angeles' Lola VFX studio to take a digital scan of Sivakarthikeyan's face and body. The method was used by Venkat Prabhu to create a look for Vijay's younger version in GOAT.

Speculations are also rife that Kalyani Priyadarshan has been roped in to play the female lead for the film. If rumours are to be true, this untitled project will mark her second collaboration with the filmmaker after Maanaadu (2021) as well as Sivakarthikeyan with whom she previously acted in Hero (2019).

Venkat Prabhu, in a recent appearance at an award show, revealed that the film's script has been completed and Sivakarthikeyan is happy with how it has come out. He also said this film will have the actor playing a different character from other films in his career and added that it will be a fun project loved by all sections of the audience. The film is reportedly being produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, with music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Fans are also speculating that the film will involve themes of time travel and expectations are sky-high for the entertainer. However, an official announcement regarding the story as well as the extended cast is yet to be made by the makers.

Sivakarthikeyan, last seen in AR Murugadoss' Madharaasi, is awaiting the release of Parasakthi, Sudha Kongara's political period drama film, which features Ravi Mohan as the antagonist and Sreeleela as the female lead in her Tamil debut. Based on true events, the story reportedly revolves around the Anti-Hindi agitations in Tamil Nadu that happened in 1965. Sivakarthikeyan made a cameo appearance in the climax scene of the Venkat Prabhu's previous film, The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT), starring Vijay. Besides SK26, the actor also has an untitled film with Cibi Chakravarthi.
