

Kalyani Priyadarshan, who is currently on a winning streak with the massive success of Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra and has multiple projects in her kitty, has reportedly been roped in to play the female lead for Venkat Prabhu's upcoming film with Sivakarthikeyan. If the speculations are to be true, this untitled project will mark her second collaboration with the filmmaker after Maanaadu (2021) as well as Sivakarthikeyan with whom she previously acted in Hero (2019).
While the story and extended cast are yet to be revealed, Venkat Prabhu, in a recent appearance at an award show, revealed that the film's script has been completed and Sivakarthikeyan is happy with how it has come out. He also said this film will have Siva play a different character from other films in his career and added that it will be a fun project loved by all sections of the audience. The film is reportedly being produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, with music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
Sivakarthikeyan, last seen in AR Murugadoss' Madharaasi, is awaiting the release of Parasakthi, Sudha Kongara's political period drama film, which features Ravi Mohan as the antagonist and Sreeleela as the female lead in her Tamil debut. Based on true events, the story reportedly revolves around the Anti-Hindi agitations in Tamil Nadu that happened in 1965. Sivakarthikeyan made a cameo appearance in the climax scene of the Venkat Prabhu's previous film, The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT), starring Vijay.
Kalyani Priyadarshan earned tremendous praise for her portrayal as Chandra/Neeli in Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, Dominic Arun's latest superhero film fronted by Kalyani. The film, also starring Naslen, Sandy , Arun Kurian and Chandu Salim Kumar in key roles, broke multiple box office records, emerging as the highest grossing Malayalam film of all time. Following its glorious theatrical run, the film hits OTT platform JioHotstar on October 31. She was also seen in Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira, directed by Althaf Salim and headlined by Fahadh Faasil, which hit theatres a day after Lokah. Up next, she has Ravi Mohan's Genie and Karthi's Marshal in different stages of production.
