Sivakarthikeyan, who was last seen in AR Murugadoss' Madharaasi and is awaiting the release of Sudha Kongara's Parasakthi, will reunite with Don director Cibi Chakravarthi for his next film. While the actor had confirmed their collaboration last year, an official announcement is yet to be made. Speculations are rife that another entertaining film is in the works like Don. As per Valaipechu, Sai Abhyankkar will be composing music for the upcoming project.
The composer-singer, who has been on a successful streak with several high-profile projects, has reportedly signed on for this film, which is expected to go on floors by late October or early November. He recently made his composing debut with Shane Nigam's Balti and Tamil cinema entry with Pradeep Ranganathan's Dude.
Don, released in 2022, was Cibi's debut movie. It also starred SJ Suryah, Samuthirakani and Priyanka Mohan in key roles. It revolved around reluctant engineering student repeatedly clashing with his college's discipline mentor (SJ Suryah), while still trying to discover his passion in life and prove his eligibility to his father. The film was positively received by audiences and critics and was a commercial success.
Sivakarthikeyan also has a film with Venkat Prabhu in his kitty. Sivakarthikeyan made a cameo appearance in the climax scene of the director's previous film, The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT), starring Vijay. Speaking about his upcoming untitled film, Venkat Prabhu said that the film's script has been completed and Sivakarthikeyan is happy with how it has come out. He also said this film will have Siva play a different character from other films in his career. He added that it will be a fun film loved by all sections of the audience.
